The Government of Canada announced on May 12, 2020 a one-time tax-free payment to eligible seniors of;

- $300 for Old Age Security (OAS) pension eligible seniors

- $200 for Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) eligible seniors

To avoid an interruption in benefits, seniors are encouraged to submit their 2019 income tax information as soon as possible and no later than by October 1, 2020.

The Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement one time- tax free payment will be delivered to eligible seniors the

week of July 6, 2020.

**Please note that this is two weeks after the regular June OAS benefit pay day of June 27, 2020.

The cut-off date for eligibility for the top up is June 1, 2020. If you are not enrolled in the program by this date you will not receive the top-up.

Anyone who has deferred collection of these benefits will not be receiving the top-up.
