The proposed federal electoral boundaries for Ontario have been published. The impacts to Southwestern Ontario are quite vast particularly to the current riding of Elgin-Middlesex-London.

The proposal would split the current riding of Elgin-Middlesex-London into new electoral districts named; Elgin-Middlesex-Thames, London South- St. Thomas, London East, and London West.
