Veteran’s Week is celebrated each year from the 5th to the11th of November. It is a week where we recognize the sacrifices that Canadian soldiers have made for our freedom, and recognize our Veterans. This year we also recognize the 100th anniversary of Canada’s involvement in the battle of Passchendaele, and the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid.
Throughout this week, I encourage everyone to wear a poppy in remembrance, and reflect on the sacrifices that our soldiers have made for Canada.
Remembrance ceremonies will be taking place throughout the riding. Please visit my website at karenvecchiomp.ca for more details.
We will remember them.
